You spend so much time taking care of everyone else - your kids, your parents, your partner, your community. You name it, you're there for them. You're good at it. And, let's be honest...it fills you up and you wouldn't have it any other way.
And, you've started to notice whispers of changes in your body - slower recovery, aches that weren't there before, restless nights. You know your energy reserves are running low, but it's fine. They're only whispers. You keep going.
Little by little, those quiet whispers of pain, stiffness, fatigue get a bit louder and start to interfere with your simple pleasures - like your regular pickleball game, your morning jog, a good night's sleep, or even just walking your dog. Maybe you worry about possible injury, or you’re just frustrated that you can’t move the way you used to. Somewhere along the way, your own well-being slipped to the bottom of the list. You happen to look in the mirror and you don't recognize the person looking back at you. You know it's time to pay attention.
It’s not about doing more. It’s about finding a better way to move, breathe, and live.
I have been practicing and studying yoga for over 20 years. As both a yoga teacher and a certified yoga therapist—with specialized training in children’s yoga and yoga for healthy aging—I believe that yoga should bring lightness and ease of movement, not tension. My goal is to make yoga accessible to people of all ages and abilities, and to highlight that the true benefits of yoga are what you carry with you off the mat.
Wellness has always been a natural interest of mine, but it took time for me to see how the choices I made in one area of life affected the whole. Nutrition and fitness came easily, and I often took them for granted. But as I’ve experienced achy joints, slower recovery times, and watched loved ones manage persistent pain and limited mobility, I’ve come to appreciate that aging well isn’t just a matter of luck—it takes awareness, intention, and consistent practice.
My professional journey has taken me across industries and around the world—from financial services to the non-profit sector to teaching elementary and middle school. No matter the setting, one thing has always been true: my role as a teacher is to equip others with the tools they need to grow, make empowered choices, and reach their fullest potential. As a parent, I’ve seen this in action too—setting kids up with skills, letting them take flight, and celebrating their successes along the way.
Outside of yoga, you’ll often find me with my dog, in the kitchen cooking for loved ones, or moving my body at the gym. I am endlessly curious and always studying, especially when it comes to the science of aging. While I don’t claim to have all the answers, I’ve learned a great deal about how to tune in, move better, and feel better. It’s my passion to share this knowledge with others so they can cultivate more ease, resilience, and empowerment—at every stage of life.
